Applications
MEKP uses: Production of acrylic resins, curing agent of unsaturated polyester resins, hardening agent for fiberglass-reinforced plastics.
MEKP uses: MEK peroxide is used to initiate the polymerization of styrene, ethylene, vinylchloride and other monomers; and curing of polyester resins at roomtemperature.
MEKP uses: Used as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins; Reactive free radical-generating chemical, hardening agent for fiberglassreinforced plastics.
Stability:May react violently or explode if heated. Reacts violently with combustibles and organic material. In compatible with flammables, strong oxidizing agents, strong reducing agents, promoters such as Cobalt compounds, brass, mild steel, aluminum alloys, natural and synthetic rubbers and chemical accelerators, heavy metals, acids and bases.
Packing
Packed in 20kg PE drums, 36 drums per pallet, 14.4MT/20'FCL.
Storage: MEK peroxide is dispersed in a plasticizer or diluted in solvents, which can reduces the sensitivity. It is stored in a refrigeratorin a well-ventilated area and well separated from other chemicals. Peroxide with an active oxygen content >9% may not be shipped. Diluted material is shipped in metal drums with polyethylene liners orpolyethylene-lined paper bags in woodenboxes.
