Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate

EEP (Ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate) is a low volatility ether ester. It is with good solubility for a wide range of coating polymers. Ether ester group, linear structure and the propionyl group, which is in the molecular center, bring it some unique properties that other solvents do not have, such as slow evaporation rate, especially in stoving varnish applications.

It is highly solubility for a wide range of polymers. Ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate, because of its low solution viscosity (relative to its evaporation rate), good solvent release of the coating film, and good flow and uniformity in a wide range of coatings.

As a solvent, Ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate has moderate odor, low surface tension and high resistivity. Ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate also has a special function, to prevent silver powder from returning to coarseness and blackening.
